Camille Banville (Pointe-Ã -la-Croix)
August 25 to September 6, 2025
Open Access Residence

In residence at the Gare from August 25th to September 6th, Camille Banville, aka Mila, an artist from Pointe-Ã -la-Croix, is working on her latest project, Gossips Comestibles (working title). This residency represents an important step in her creative process because it allows her to test stagings and feed her inspiration. In this object theater piece, the artist manipulates plants, giving life to the inanimate, while challenging the audience on serious issues of current society with humor and derision: the agri-food industry, our relationship with the living, and North-South economic relations. Thus, food constantly delays mealtime by expressing its frustration and arguing about its condition, while the artist grows impatient to welcome her guests to a large, convivial table. The performance, in situ and migratory, moves from one place to another in the Station, exploring its nooks and crannies and gradually revealing different scenes.
