UNLEASHING EXPRESSION

My artistic practice is a tool for connecting with others. After briefly introducing myself, I invite the participants to do the same through an initial session of automatic writing—an exercise that involves writing down whatever comes to mind for 5–10 minutes. The participants are then invited to share their texts, which reflect who they are, with the group. I then begin a second free-writing session on a topic that emerges from the presentations, based on the content the participants themselves have brought up (writing about an emotion, about someone else, about their motivation to write, etc.). Depending on the level of participation, there may be several other writing and presentation sessions.
