Nerëm

With a background in photography and nourished by a writing practice developed since childhood, Nerëm pays particular attention to detail, texture, and subtle gestures. Their work invites us to slow down, to look differently, and to inhabit the artistic experience in all its fragility and vitality.

Nerëm is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores the realms of the sensory through photography and writing. They compose with contrasts, subtlety, and nuances to create intimate experiences for those who engage with their work. Their approach is distinguished by a particular attention to detail, material, and subtle gestures.

Born to two artist parents, Nerëm was immersed in art from an early age. Photography, poetry, painting, and working with materials have always been an integral part of their journey. After completing an intensive arts program in high school, they focused primarily on photography and poetry, developing both in parallel and in a complementary manner.

A first book of poetry will be published in February, along with a photography exhibition in January, extending and showcasing this artistic research.

Currently based in Gaspésie, Nerëm explores the region as a space for research and creation, where the landscape and its inhabitants become material, archive, and meeting place.
